Woofington Dog Park officially open to the public.


Board of Directors and Management of the Protected Areas Commission (PAC) earlier this afternoon formally commissioned the Woofington Dog Park and pet play area as part of improving urban recreational space for families and pets within the National Park. The ribbon was cut by Ms. Makayla Persaud to officially open the first of its kind dog park and pet play area.

Present were Commissioner of the PAC, Mr. Jason Fraser, Deputy Commissioner of the PAC, Mr. Parmanand Persaud, Vice Chairman of the PAC Board of Directors, Mr. Roger Yearwood, PAC Board Member and President of THAG, Ms. Omadele George, Veterinarians, dog owners and trainers. Most importantly, Senior Mangement and auxiliary staff from the Commission's Operations Department which continues to undertake critical maintenance and enhancement activities within the Urban Parks.


Management of the Protected Areas Commission remains committed to exploring ways to improve visitor experiences within our urban spaces for family recreation, health and fitness.
